About LittlemillLittlemill Distillery nestles at the foot of the Kilpatrick Hills, in Bowling, from where it took it pure water to to produce this classic Single Lowland Malt. There is no exact date for when whisky was first distilled at Littlemill, it could be as far back as the 14th century as an off shoot for brewing beer, when the Colquhoun family built Dunglass Castle near by. What is known is that there was house built by 1772 for the Excise Officers. Now sadly closed and unlikely to reopen.
