About Mary Batchelor

Living and working on the West Coast of Scotland Mary manages to combine her two passions, painting and sailing, and even whilst in her elevated studio she is never far from the water, as she looks out over the Firth of Clyde. Both allow her to express herself. Mary brings to life the small places that are only accessible by boat with her bold vibrant work, capturing the ever changing light and mood of the West Coast. This is not to say she only paints the West Coast, having traveled extensively around the world she enjoys the challenge of the unfamiliar scene and different light.
