About Stuart Herd

Stuart Herd was born in Scotland in 1971. He briefly attended Amersham Art College before starting a career in photography. He worked in various photographic fields; ranging from Commercial / Social / Press and Laboratory work. During this time he was able to combine this work with his love of travel. In the 1990's he began the transition to full-time artist, producing detailed pen and ink drawings of Edinburgh cityscapes as well as starting his Stadium portfolio.

Stuart started exhibiting early 2000 and had sell-out shows, notably to the US market in Jamaica. In 2002 he returned to Scotland and painting gradually took precedence over his other work.
