About Ian Roberts

Ian Roberts has been working with pottery since 1974.

His range of clocks are done in the Raku style, a technique adapted from 16th century Japanese ceramicists. This process results in increased ‘crazing’ on the surface of the ceramic, while the overall finish is richer and more lustrous than that achieved using normal methods.

Each piece is unique, accentuated by the inclusion of a small mouse tucked away into the base of the clock.
