About Pam CarterPam Carter was born in Tanganyika in East Africa at the age of thirteen she moved to Scotland the birthplace of her mother. She started a teaching career in the seventies after graduating from the Glasgow School of Art. She then took a gap year to study in Chicago following that moved to the Seychelles to teach art for a further two years. In August 2004, Pam Carter embarked on a full time painting career this was following a teaching career in various colleges from the mid-eighties. The inspiration for her work comes from the rugged coastlines of Scotland incorporating the bright coloured fishing villages and isolated cottages.
