About West Coast Textiles

From the north west coast of Scotland, near Ullapool, West Coast Textiles hand make bags and textiles using locally sourced, new and recycled materials.

Each bag is as unique as the fabric used to make it therefore no two bags will be exactly the same.

Many of the bags are made using Harris Tweed, the only fabric in the world governed by its own act of parliament. Genuine Harris Tweed bears the ‘Orb Certification Mark’ approved by its custodians; the Harris Tweed Authority. This guarantees that the tweed to which it has been applied has been made from 100% virgin wool which has been dyed and spun on the islands and handwoven at the home of a weaver in the Outer Hebrides.

West Coast Textiles’ Bags are now in stock at Ealain Gallery, Drymen. Available in a wide range of colours and styles, each bag is fully lined and has a zipped pocket.
