About Dot WalkerThe artist Dot Walker uses a vivid palette to describe the ever changing atmosphere that surrounds her in the highlands, using a range of techniques from palette knife to dragging the paint with decorating brushes, depending on the subject matter. She is intrigued by the effects of the weather on the rugged landscape of the west coast and the Hebrides, and often includes dwelling places in her paintings, people working the land and the climate, and the promise of shelter and hospitality in unlikely places. Dot lives in Highlands with her husband and 3 children.
