About Huw Williams
Huw Williams, the 'Horse Painter', was born in North Wales in 1968. He attended Wrexham College in 1985 completing an Art and Design course, before moving onto Newcastle-upon-Tyne University 1986-89, where he achieved a degree in Fine Art.
Huw received his first commission in 1991 by a private collector to paint his horse. Between that time and 1998 he has completed over 200 commissions from private collectors to paint their horses. Prince Charles presented a commissioned piece in 1998 of "Five Bitch Hounds" to the retiring Huntsman of the Quorn hunt in Leicestershire.
Huw Williams now lives with his wife and daughter on a farm in Perthshire, where his studio overlooks the paddock in which they keep their family horses.
Huw continues to receive requests to paint horses from all around the world. Please contact the gallery if you wish further details or to arrange a commission.
