About John Coleman

Born in Glasgow John Coleman graduated as an Architect in 1971 and after a period of further research gained a Master of Science Degree. Over the next decade he set up the Research Unit at Dundee School of Architecture, worked as a Senior Housing Architect for a Development Corporation and finally set up his own Private Practice.

During his time working in Architecture John Coleman continued to paint, adapting his eye for detail into creating his dramatic still life paintings that have been exhibited throughout the UK and abroad.

John’s current work includes a series of still life paintings depicting fruit on a black background as well as a series of landscapes.
