About Pam Carter

Pam Carter was born in Tanganyika in East Africa, and at the age of thirteen she moved to Scotland; the birthplace of her mother. She started a teaching career in the seventies after graduating from the Glasgow School of Art. She then took a gap year to study in Chicago and, following that, moved to the Seychelles to teach art for a further two years.

In August 2004 Pam embarked on a full time painting career. The inspiration for her work comes from the rugged coastlines of Scotland; incorporating brightly coloured fishing villages and isolated cottages.
